TALISHA Space Research Organization is proud to unveil its groundbreaking project, the Kalpana-1 Rocket—a reusable marvel in space research technology. This innovative rocket marks a significant milestone as it becomes India's first reusable solid rocket, crafted to revolutionize space exploration. The Kalpana-1 Rocket is designed to achieve an altitude of 20 kilometers above Earth's surface before returning safely to the ground, paving the way for sustainable and cost-effective space missions. What sets this mission apart is its collaborative spirit, bringing together over 200 dedicated researchers and Mission Orbit project students to push the boundaries of innovation. Inside the rocket, a state-of-the-art research satellite, designed by Mission Orbit students and researchers, will embark on its mission to collect critical data. The satellite, like the rocket, is fully reusable, equipped to autonomously return to Earth after completing its objectives. This dual-landing capability exemplifies TALISHA's commitment to developing cutting-edge, reusable space technologies. The Kalpana-1 Rocket represents a bold leap forward for TALISHA and the global space research community, showcasing how innovation, collaboration, and sustainability can shape the future of space exploration.

Technology & Budget

The Kalpana-1 Rocket project has a budget of 8 lakhs, with 80% funded by TALISHA and 20% contributed by external organizations, including AICT Durgapur. The project leverages ML, AI, aerodynamics, space science, physics, and chemistry. Internal details remain undisclosed for security reasons, ensuring mission confidentiality.
